David Allen IT Solutions have been awarded ‘Apprentice Employer of the Year’ at the Carlisle College Awards 2022.  The awards, hosted at Carlisle College on Thursday 23 June, celebrated students and businesses and their successes.

Gary Martin said: ‘It was a lovely surprise yesterday at the Carlisle College awards evening when David Allen IT Solutions won the “Apprentice Employer of the Year” award.  This is an amazing achievement as we were up against some very large businesses.  We were not aware that we had been nominated for the award and are absolutely thrilled to have won!’

Graham Johnson, Senior Training Advisor at Carlisle College, nominated David Allen IT Solutions for the award, he said: ‘I would like to nominate David Allen IT Solutions for ‘Apprentice Employer of the Year’ based on the support that they provide to their apprentices, not just this year, but over previous years too.

Gary Martin understands the requirements of the new Information Communication Technician standard and incorporates these changes to complement the assessment process.

Gary is always willing to work with Carlisle College to ensure that his apprentices are engaged in appropriate activities that enable them to meet the required criteria.

He provides support, not just to apprentices, but also to me the College Training Advisor, to ensure apprentices are doing the best they can.’

Ruth Charters and Sheryl Dobson were also representing David Allen.  David Allen sponsored the Maths and English Apprentices of the Year awards.

Ruth said: ‘Huge congratulations to David Allen IT Solutions for winning the Carlisle College Apprentice Employer Of The Year Award.  It was an honor to attend the event with Sheryl Dobson representing David Allen as sponsors of the Maths and English Apprentice Of The Year Awards.
