On 4 April 2023, we held our annual careers evening with great success. It was a fantastic opportunity for us to meet a range of different people, from those looking for their first step into employment, to people looking to make their next career move.
Over 40 people attended the event, where they had the opportunity to find out all about the local brand, hear about the exciting employee benefits package and learn about all the vacancies and apprenticeship opportunities.
Staff from across David Allen were on hand to share their expertise and employee stories. Attendees were able to learn all about the variety of services and opportunities available within the Accounts, Agriculture, Financial Services, IT Solutions, Payroll, Tax and Recovery Solutions departments. Our team gave informative presentations showcasing what they do as well as the history of David Allen and their generous employee perks.
Also on hand were a number of their apprentices who were able to answer any questions relating to on-the-job training.
Gail Rajjayabun, Head of People Development gave an inspiring talk and revealed future plans for their peoples training and development. Gail said of the evening: ‘The David Allen Careers Evening was designed to help prospective employees find out first-hand more about what it means to work at David Allen. Attendees were able to meet with employees from different service lines and hear about their experience and journey to date. They were also able to see our offices and get a feel for what it would be like to work for this fantastic firm. David Allen is a place where we encourage our people to grow with us. I hope it gave those who attended an insight into the passion that we have as a firm to provide not only excellent experience for our clients but also for our people.’
There was a great buzz on the evening and feedback was fantastic, people saying; ‘It was inspiring to hear everyone’s journeys. Everyone seemed so happy to be where they are and still see progression in their paths. The chocolate cake was a bonus!’
Sheryl Dobson, Training and Development Manager said, ‘It was so lovely to see everyone, we’re very excited about the talent that are eager to become a part of Team DA.
