Meet Connor Fish, an inspiring individual whose journey from school to success at David Allen IT Solutions exemplifies the incredible impact of apprenticeship programs. At the young age of 16, Connor made a pivotal decision to enrol in a Level 3 apprenticeship with Carlisle College in 2016, effectively combining classroom learning with real-world experience.

For Connor, the apprenticeship program was a no-brainer. Working four days a week and dedicating a final day to college, he found that learning in a workplace setting was far more effective than in the confines of a traditional classroom. The bonus of earning a wage and graduating without the burden of debt made this choice not just sensible but empowering.

What Connor had to say about his career path, ‘Learning in a workplace is much more effective than in a classroom never mind also earning a wage and having no debt at the end of the apprenticeship.  Looking back this was an easy decision for me and I am incredibly pleased to see how current and previous apprentices are following the same path as I once did.’
