Border Group are a leading independent supplier of temporary road and pedestrian safety products, for both hire and sale, throughout the UK and Europe. This along with the servicing of portable toilets and luxury toilet trailers. They supply major civil contractors, BAA Airports, local authorities, traffic management companies and the events industry, including major events such as the London 2012 Olympic Games and The Queen’s Diamond Jubilee Celebrations.
David Allen IT Solutions were appointed by Border Group as their IT Managed Service Provider (MSP). As part of the initial projects, we were required to replace their existing server infrastructure and options were given for consideration. Microsoft Azure was chosen as the preferred solution, due to the high availability and redundancy of the new solution, along with it being from a very well know vendor – Microsoft.
David Allen IT fully scoped the project and timescales, which included configuration of new virtual machines in Microsoft Azure, creation of VPN gateways to their existing infrastructure and offices and implementation of security and backup. We communicated throughout the project with their third party software vendors and at all times communicated with the customer to keep them informed of progress. All the work was done seamlessly, with no down time to the business.
David Allen IT Solutions now provide a full managed service for Border Group including help desk, remote monitoring, backups, Hosted Gamma Horizon phone system and advice and guidance to the business on all aspects of their IT infrastructure.
