Kendal Nutricare specialises in the manufacture of world-class nutrition products from early life nutrition to adult and senior formulations from their factory based in Kendal, Cumbria.
For the last decade, David Allen IT have been Kendal Nutricare’s entrusted Managed Service Provider (MSP). Recently we were commissioned by them to design and migrate several virtual servers from a private cloud environment to Microsoft Azure.
Project Lead, David Allen IT Consultant, Daniel Russell said, “We migrated the workload in an assessment readiness phase initially to determine the required specifications and budgets. After this information was gathered, the virtual network in Microsoft Azure was created and the virtual servers were migrated using Azure Migrate within a planned maintenance window. After the migration, an IPSec tunnel between the customer’s on-site premises and Microsoft Azure was created and thorough testing was performed to ensure key services were operational and functional. It was a complex project which thankfully went smoothly and to of great benefit to KNC as a business.”
Overall, the entire Microsoft Azure project was planned and executed with minimal interference and disruption to the client. The solution provides KNC with a highly available, secure, and scalable solution that can adapt to their growing business needs, providing a solid foundation for future growth.
