Ruth Charters, David Allen Corporate Manager, looked to Mortgage Adviser, Kelly Hillier, for much needed support when purchasing her dream family home.
When Ruth and her husband found their ‘forever home’, they came straight to Kelly to rearrange their mortgage; having used Kelly previously for their mortgages they knew she would get the job done…little did they know how challenging the process was going to be!
About one month after getting the offer accepted on their dream family home, with the mortgage process in full swing, a third party approached the vendors and offered a substantial sum more for the property. Needless to say, Ruth and her family were devastated at the prospect of losing their home. Luckily, Ruth had Kelly to turn to who reassured her that she would look into every avenue possible to match or even outbid the new third party.
Kelly therefore had to conduct further whole of market research, find a completely different lender, and essentially restart the entire process all over again – still with no guarantees that she could secure the property for Ruth and her family.
For those that have been through the mortgage process before, it can be incredibly stressful even in the most straightforward of cases. Emotions were running high and Ruth did not need the added stress of having to outbid a third party after the chain was already complete!
To add to the worry, the property was a probate property and as such there were four couples involved that had to agree to new terms each time there was a change. Fighting for their dream house in this sense was not something Ruth and her family anticipated, but with the help of Kelly and the mortgage team, they were able to secure the home and have now moved in and settled in their new family home.
Ruth was absolutely delighted and emailed Steve Balmer with the following feedback on Kelly:
‘Can I just say that yet again Kelly has been outstanding in her level of commitment in helping me and my husband secure our new home. We came across quite a few unexpected hurdles to which Kelly responded quickly and gave us full confidence in what we were doing. Without her, at some points I think we may have crumbled, but she got us there and we have now moved in. We couldn’t be happier, and we couldn’t have done it without Kelly.’
