When it comes to auditing, our specialist team are key to providing an effective audit process and ensuring that companies meet their statutory reporting obligations.

Ashley Willis, Audit Senior is working with key businesses providing audit services.  He has been a member of the David Allen team for three years and had previously obtained an Accounting & Finance degree from Lancaster University in 2017.  He recognised David Allen as a company with great opportunities and where he could kickstart his career.

Ashley said:  ‘Carrying out audit work for businesses allows me to gain a real understanding of how the business operates so that I can put forward recommendations and add real value to the audit process.’

In 2019, Ashley became a fully qualified Chartered Accountant with the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales.

When Ashley joined the firm, he worked with a mentor and began his training on VAT returns and small business accounts.  This provided the foundations for his future development and he progressed to working on larger company accounts and audits as well as becoming a Xero and Quickbooks certified advisor providing advice and assistance to our clients.  As a highly respected and valued member of the team, he is now a mentor for other trainees and assists with their training and development.  Ashley works very closely with Managing Partner Alison Welton, Audit Manager David Brookes and Corporate Specialist Melanie Thomson.

Ashley is passionate about helping businesses to achieve their potential and succeed.  His skills and expertise in accounting and auditing are key to this.
