Partner, Michael Peile, explains how his career has progressed at David Allen.
My David Allen career began at the age of sixteen when I carried out 2 weeks work experience during the summer holidays whilst I was awaiting my GCSE results. During this time, I decided that I would like to build a career in the accountancy profession, and joined the team as an apprentice.
I have completed my Association of Accounting Technicians certificate and qualified as a chartered accountant in 2006. David Allen have supported me during my years studying and training. We recognise that if we invest in our people, this is also a huge investment for the firm. It is clear that the firm values their people and is prepared to invest time and money.
Since qualifying as a chartered accountant all those years ago the firm has given me a huge amount of opportunities to allow me to develop. My biggest achievement was when I was made a partner in 2013. 20 years on I am now responsible for the agricultural team, looking after farmers and farm related businesses.
I honestly believe that without the support and opportunities that I have received from David Allen and the team, I would not have developed the career that I have been fortunate enough to have .
