We identified that we needed assistance with our accounts; little did we know David Allen was also able to help us with our payroll, tax and debt recovery.

I first came across the David Allen Group during the Coronavirus pandemic.  My company is based in Waterbeck near Dumfries and throughout the pandemic I was a member of the Dumfries and Galloway Business Network online where local businesses shared business grants, loans and support.  David Allen’s Dumfries Manager, Amy Muirhead, was not only sharing David Allen company updates but also updates that she knew would be helpful to businesses.  She provided an outstanding service, and still does.

L.I.P. Construction Ltd is a family owned business serving residential and commercial clients, providing quality construction and civil engineering.  During the Coronavirus pandemic we were in lockdown for over twelve weeks and during this time we got in contact with Amy Muirhead and although she was extremely busy, she found the time to take us on and support us, often outside her working hours.  Amy provided invaluable support and advice on how we could support our staff and make our business viable when those restrictions were lifted.

We have found the transitioning process to David Allen very reassuring; we know if we have a query, one of the Dumfries team will come back to us straight away.  Amy Muirhead has transformed our company with her expert knowledge and organisation.  Before lock-down we had problems with our accounts and accounting systems but Amy and her team tackled these and helped us focus on our future plans and aspirations.

Since working with David Allen, we have moved over to Xero software and have received training as and when we required and the Dumfries team have been amazing with everyday challenges.  Amy and Pamela Conner have ironed out a lot of issues in such a short time, so we are very grateful for this and we know they are just a call away.

Amy has invested a lot of time into securing funding for us, as well as keeping us up to date with the VAT payment deferrals and Coronavirus Job Retention Scheme (CJRS), always putting the best options forward to us.  We have developed a close working relationship with Amy who fully understands our vision and plans for the future. We are now in a confident position and looking forward to the future.
