Alison Welton

After completing my Chartered Accountancy qualification with an accountancy practice in Sunderland I decided I wanted to move back home to Cumbria.  I joined the David Allen team in 2004 and I have never looked back!  There were only 25 members of staff when I joined #TeamDA, so I have seen amazing growth, development and opportunities for the team working across the David Allen group.

When looking for a practice to join, I had heard amazing things about David Allen.  After reading their story, I knew they were the firm that I wanted to work for.  It was a forward thinking and innovative practice which put client care at the heart of everything it did.

I am a general practitioner with a focus on accountancy and audit work for a range of entities including companies, charities and solicitors.  I like to get a detailed understanding of a client’s business in order to provide practical advice specific to their requirements.

I bring a supportive and hands on approach to my work.  I enjoy meeting clients and really getting to know them and their business and I strive to ensure all of my clients succeed.  Clients amaze me every day in how they develop and overcome the challenges that they face.

My greatest professional achievement was in 2008, I became the first appointed Partner in the practice and I have since been promoted to Managing Partner.  It is a real honour to play an active part in the strategy and development of the firm and to work with a great team of colleagues and clients.
