I originally began working in IT shortly after leaving secondary school. I had no idea how broad IT was back then. My career began as a service desk technician for a managed service provider in Dumfries. I learned a lot from doing this, particularly focusing around communication with customers over the telephone and performing remote support sessions to diagnose, resolve and escalate technical issues.
I later joined David Allen IT Limited as an IT Technician after my family relocated nearer Carlisle in Cumbria. This was a great opportunity and I am very thankful to work with a talented team and an expanding customer base which provides access to many fantastic technologies. It’s very satisfying to see a customer thriving as the technologies being recommended and implemented make a difference.
During my career at David Allen IT Limited, I have been promoted from an IT Technician to an IT Consultant. I have delivered a variety of projects, in addition to assisting with complex support jobs. The success of my promotion and project delivery are attributable to my strong positive attitude to self development. I have successfully completed a number of exams and certificates which have directly benefited by technical work, as well as helping to support the company meet their technical competencies.

- Cloud technologies (specifically Microsoft Azure) AZ-104, AZ-700 Certified
