Upon leaving school I completed a business administration apprenticeship at a local primary school. After completing this I joined David Allen Recovery Solutions and I was part of this team for around two years. I was successful in golf as a teenager so I decided to take a risk and focus on making a career out of it although I soon decided this wasn’t for me. I re-joined David Allen in 2017 as an Admin Assistant in the Tax team, which is a role that I thoroughly enjoyed.
After a year in the tax team I was given the opportunity to complete The Association of Taxation Technicians (ATT) qualification and also assist the team with Self-Assessment tax returns. This is now my main role along with training and mentoring new members of the tax team which I really enjoy. My biggest professional achievement so far is achieving a distinction in one of my ATT exams.
I joined David Allen because they are well known within the local area, they stand out as somewhere that really help their people start/develop their careers.
I have a ‘can do’ attitude, if I have something to do, I get it done in an organised and disciplined manner. I enjoy building relationships with our clients, achieving the best possible outcome for them and helping them resolve any issues they may have.
Clients say I am patient and understanding.
Fun fact
Outside of work I enjoy playing golf. My golfing achievements include representing the Cumbria ladies team, being part of the Northern Region England Squad, Cumbria Ladies Champion and Silloth Ladies Champion numerous times. I am a member of Silloth Golf Club and volunteer on the ladies committee. I was their lady captain at age 21.
