Louise Thomson

I joined David Allen in June 2004 as a tax assistant, having worked as an office junior at another accounting firm.  I had already started my Accounting Technician (AAT) exams at my previous job, so I continued this with David Allen and then went on to complete my Taxation Technician (ATT) exams.  In September 2009 I started my Chartered Tax Advisor (CTA) qualifications and became qualified in January 2011.

In 2014 I decided to move away to Manchester.  I did however, come back to Carlisle and David Allen in 2018 and was made tax manager shortly after.

I love working with clients and being able to help them whilst putting them at ease.

I took up running while in Manchester, starting with ‘couch to 5k’, I have since completed six marathons and numerous half marathons.

I moved onto triathlons when I came back to Carlisle and have completed two half iron man distances.  I also enjoy walking in the lakes and have started to complete the wainwrights.
