Lucy Rothery

After leaving school in May 2021 with 7 A’s and 1A* I was keen to put my studies and transferable skills to practical use with a reputable company whilst gaining valuable working experience and furthering my education.  University and moving away from home just did not appeal to me.  I knew the company that I would leave school for at 16 had to be friendly, forward looking and would support me throughout my training, as I am keen to progress.  I knew after my interview with Julie Osborn and Sheryl Dobson that David Allen was exactly the place I wanted to be.  They were so welcoming and put me at ease straight away.

I enjoyed all my subjects at School, but Maths was always my favourite.  I started Carlisle College in September 2021 and I am currently studying towards my AAT qualification.

Fun fact

I have grown up helping my dad on his family farm and whenever I can I still love to help him.  Farming is from both sides of my parents and working in the agricultural team at David Allen is an area I am so happy in.
