Michelle Lawrence

In my role as Wills Specialist and Team Leader at David Allen, I lead the department while working closely with clients to understand their personal circumstances and wishes.  Providing personalised advice and drafting tailored documents ensures that their needs are fully addressed.  The client-facing aspect of the role is especially rewarding, as it allows me to assist clients with deeply personal and important matters.

I began my career at a small solicitors firm in Worcester and moved to Cumbria in 2021, where I worked for a local firm.  I was delighted to be approached about the opportunity to join David Allen, a firm known for its supportive and forward thinking approach.  I hold a Bachelors of Law (Hons) degree and am preparing to undertake the Solicitors Qualification Exams next year, with the goal of becoming a fully qualified solicitor.

What I love most about my role is the client relationships I have been able to build. Every day brings new people and new challenges, it is this variety that makes my work so fulfilling.  I also enjoy the opportunity to mentor and grow our team, passing on my knowledge and helping others develop in their careers.

David Allen stood out to me because of our company’s values of integrity, respect and professionalism, which align closely with my own.  We have a culture encourages continuous learning and provides the flexibility to balance work with personal growth.  Being part of a growing team where everyone is committed to delivering the best possible client experience is something I am proud of.

Outside of work, I love exploring the beautiful Lakes and surrounding areas with my partner and our Labrador, whether we are hiking, camping, or paddleboarding. Looking to the future, I am excited about qualifying as a solicitor next year and continuing to grow both within my role and the wider David Allen team.
