After four years working as a secondary school teacher, I decided to change career. While planning my next steps, I took a job as a receptionist for a local law firm. After a year, I applied for a role as a paralegal in their Wills, Trust and Probate department, assisting their in-house financial adviser also. I worked there for three and a half years and completed the first stage of a CILEx qualification.
When looking for a new challenge, I had heard that David Allen were recruiting. After researching their Wills, Power of Attorney and Probate team, I discovered that they had a small team which would mean my caseload would be broad and varied. A feature that continually cropped up while I researched the business was its motivation to help employees develop and progress. It is always nice to work somewhere that wants to help you succeed.
In my day to day role I complete probate applications and estate administration.
