Sarah Graves

As Audit Manager at David Allen, I lead our audit team and collaborate closely with audit engagement partners to provide comprehensive, insightful audit services across a wide range of clients, from companies and charities to academies and clubs. My role allows me to gain a deep understanding of each client’s business, so I can offer tailored support and guidance whenever needed. Taking on the role of Audit Manager has been a highly rewarding step in my career, giving me the opportunity to guide our team as they grow and build confidence in their client work. I take pride in our meticulous approach and am always available to assist and ensure every detail is covered.

My work also involves managing all aspects of trust accounts – from preparation and administration to liaising with solicitors on trust matters. Having completed my STEP Diploma in Trusts and Estate in 2021, I’m proud to be a full STEP member.

My career in accountancy started when I was 18, and joining David Allen in 2004 was a pivotal step for me. The opportunity to develop and pursue my ambition to qualify as a Chartered Accountant led me to complete my AAT qualification and eventually become a Chartered Accountant in 2009. My interest in trust management led me to specialise further, adding a STEP qualification to my experience.

I take great pride in supporting my colleagues as they progress in their careers and I’m consistently impressed by the dedication and talent within our team. Working with clients is one of the most fulfilling parts of my role. I am passionate about being available for clients whenever they need support or advice and I enjoy working with charities and academies, as well as developing our team’s technical skills.
