Moving goods into, out of, or through Northern Ireland
-
The government has launched the free-to-use Trader Support Service which will help businesses and traders with the changes that will affect your business if you move goods into and out of Northern Ireland.
Northern Ireland (NI) remains part of the EU customs and VAT regime. From a customs perspective moving goods from NI to GB hasn’t changed. However, from GB to NI it is now necessary to declare goods. From a VAT perspective, these movements will continue to be treated like domestic sales and purchases. UK VAT will continue to be charged on sale of goods to Northern Ireland.
