Security Enhancements
Multi-Factor Authentication– One of the major threats at the moment is through impersonation of valid websites in order to obtain username and password details from an individual. Once those details are obtained, access to email accounts becomes straightforward and emails can then be sent as that person requesting typically things like bank detail changes.
Protecting your usernames and passwords is imperative, and apart from ensuring these are secure and only known to yourself, further enhancements can be made using technology called Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA). MFA involves using a secondary form of authentication to access your PC/Laptop, email account or remote access server. This is usually via a pin code or app installed on the users mobile phone.
We have implemented MFA for a number of our clients now, and would strongly advise all our clients to implement MFA into their organisation. We have cost effective solutions that help to protect you and your business.
