Today we are celebrating our Payroll Supervisor, Vicki Benson for having worked at David Allen for 10 years!
Vicki is an integral member of our payroll team, on hand to assist you with all your payroll requirements and to make the management of your payroll run smoothly. Tailoring solutions to businesses of all sizes, our team of skilled payroll professionals are able to personalise the approaches for you and your business.
We asked Vicki to take part in a little Q&A to mark the occasion.
What roles have you done within the business and tell us about your progression path?
Started as a payroll assistant with no previous payroll experience. Within a couple of years I progressed to payroll senior and then when our manager at the time left progressed to payroll supervisor.
What drives you to do what you do/what motivates you?
Our clients. My motivation is to ensure that at the end of the day our clients are satisfied with the service they receive.
What is the top perk of working in #TeamDA?
The flexibility, especially when I have two young kids.
What aspect of your role do you enjoy the most?
No one day is the same, I enjoy the variety of work that is involved in my role. From helping members of the team to talking to clients, dealing with queries and running payrolls to name just a few.
What three words describe you the best?
Approachable, Conscientious, Reliable
If you could trade lives with one person for an entire day, who would it be and why?
Someone from the Royal family like Kate Middleton to see what they are like when not on camera.
What is your strongest personal quality?
Being adaptable and open to change

What is the first piece of advice you would give to someone starting their career in Payroll?
Be prepared to work to tight deadlines and try not to let the workload of month end and year end stress you out!
